The reason people read and respond to Crash's threads is to tell him how immature, how thoughtless and how worthless his posts are. You can see that in any of his threads. Just because people reply to him doesn't mean that there is something of value there. |

jgoo, I think you need to step back and see the bigger picture (I am agreeing with sarah above). This is not a "private" forum, where we can decide to not open a crashtest thread because we know the contents will be inane. This is a PUBLIC forum, one which hopefully will be the type of forum to attract new people. If you truely agree with what you wrote above, then post a PG-13 warning to the public not to open Crashtest threads, as they may be offensive towards women, and may contain personal idiotic masturbation questions and other who-knows-what from an immature messed up kid. My daugher used to enjoy reading some of the banter on this forum, but I have blocked this forum on her PC (not that she really cares, probably has not even noticed). And it's not just because of crashtest, it's that so many threads contain the most despicable words and insults thrown about as if no one except "us" can hear. I forget. How long ago was Crastest's last sincere apology?? |

You did lie about it. You accused CrashTest of being the "Crash Test" sock to stir up the pot. That was a lie, because you knew that YOU had started the "Crash Test" sock. It's a simple fact. You can dispute it all you like, but it's like saying the sky isn't blue. It doesn't change the facts. |

For whatever it's worth, I agree with Sarah, and, God help me, Larry, on this point. However, ultimately, I agree with jgoo that there's no reason to ban him or take action against him. I also don't have a problem with Larry starting a sock to tweak Crash. However, none of that excuses the lie Larry told, when he accused Crash of starting the sock. That, imho, was way over the line. |

Larry started Crash Test to bait Crash. It is no different than the abominable thread he started with the sole purpose of baiting Daniel a month or two ago. Since Larry has made his peace with Daniel and others, and now that kathyk is not here, Larry clearly needs someone to **** on and Crash is an easy target. That is the way it is with bullies. Whithout a target, their little life has no meaning. When has Larry ever NOT had at least one target here (or in any forum)? It's easy enough to ignore Crash's threads. I do it all the time. I could go on, but I won't. jf |

Oh for pete's sake pull the stick out of your ass. The whole point of the sock was to bait Crashtest. So I poked him with a stick - he knew it wasn't him, I knew it wasn't him, and I wasn't talking to you. |

You're another little whining ninny. You're so eager to take a swat at me, you don't even see just who the bully actually was in this. You think a bully is always the one who makes the loudest noise, do you? Crashtest has been bullying this forum for months. Imagine a scene where a bunch of people are sitting in a room trying to enjoy each other's company, and every so often one of them gets up and takes a whiz at them. Who's the bully Jack - the guy taking the whiz, or the guy who finally slaps him crosseyed for pissing on people? Nah, you won't know the answer. |

When you said that Crash had created the sock, you were saying that to everyone on the board. And it was a flat-out lie. The fact that you admitted it shortly afterwards is meaningless. You only admitted it because apple outed you. You lied. For whatever reason, that doesn't fit your self-image, but that's hardly my problem. The simple fact is, you lied. You said something that wasn't true, and that you knew wasn't true. It wasn't said jokingly, or sarcastically. It was a lie. You lied. I'll just add it to my list of "Lies That Larry Has Told". |

I was speaking directly to Crash. Where did you see you or anyone else being addressed in it, and who died and made you god that you can read my mind and know my intent? Now - if you want to talk about a flat out lie...... we can discuss your recent accusation in another thread where you lied by claiming that IT had called you a name when he clearly had not. There's a lie we can talk about, Quirt. |

Anyone else who thinks that my accusing IT of name-calling was a lie (in another thread), feel free to speak up. Larry's opinion is utterly meaningless to me. Anyone else who thinks Larry was being truthful when he accused Crash of starting the "Crash Test" sockpuppet, please speak up. |

I admit that I am often prickly, and it's hardly the first time someone has accused me of having a stick up my butt. You, on the other hand, are often accused of lying. As between those two accusations, I know which one I prefer to have tossed at me. |

I'm hardly the only one, even in this thread. Without even looking back, there were at least two other people who said so directly, and at least one more who either said it or implied it. Seems to be a fairly widespread opinion. |

You're bobbing and weaving, Quirt. Outside of the usual little group of larry-haters, show me one person who has called me a liar in this thread. You, maybe Jack, maybe Apple, or maybe Ax. No one else. Watching that little group say it hardly constitutes "widespread opinion". |

Me, Crash, Ax, apple. And didn't jgoo imply it, or say it, too? That's a fairly diverse group. And, of the percentage of people who have posted in this thread, a fairly sizeable percentage. You lied. Really, I can't see how that's disputable. You accused Crash of starting the "Crast Test" puppet, when you knew he didn't. It's comical how, every time you're backed into a corner, you come out with your "bobbing and weaving" line. You're the one who's bobbing and weaving. People who used to like you are calling you names. Not a single person is sticking up for your conduct in creating the Crash Test puppet ... even Jolly said it was out of line ... except me, and not a single person has jumped in to defend your lying. You're alone at the end of a limb, and you just don't know it. |

Whatever side one comes down on, and it is difficult for me to determine that even for myself, the question of to Crash or not to Crash is by no means important enough for THIS brouhaha. I believe he is what both sides have claimed - real and imaginary. We all have our own personal mythology, but maybe his is a little bigger. Perhaps somewhat amorphous, and certainly a bit deranged. But in any event, he isn't really harming anyone save possibly himself. This is all a tempest in a teapot. His posts are no more demeaning to women than a lot of the wolf whistles and boob posts all of us, myself included, participate in. TNCR is supposed to be the Wild West Saloon. So let the crazy sheep farmer have his drink. He's in the mood for love and the sheep aren't gonna wait all night. |

Exactly. And this is another memorable romp in the sawdust. I’m think I’ll stay out of the mud-slinging on this one. The evidence for and against the combatants is fairly well documented. I would like to once again complement the moderators for their fine work. They should continue to not have rules and to do whatever they think is the right thing to do. |

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy | |
