Sounds very fine, bach. Wish I weas there. I think tonight will be pan roasted fillet mignon with a salad and a nice Bordeaux or Pinot Noir.

NICE!!!! I love a dry cabernet sovignon, too. (I can only handle a single glass of the stuff, or else I pay for it, the next morning), but it's delicious. :)

Just a bit too rare for my taste, but one can't argue the quality of the meat. Looks wonderful. I'll bet you'll have some lovely company well.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

Yeahhhhh.. ain't it grand?

That's how I do strip steaks.. get them cut about 2.5" thick - pan sear them for two ro three minutes a side at high heat then pop the whole pan in the oven at 450 for maybe 6-7 minutes. Mmmmmmmm.

i like meat rare.

this particular dish calls for pan searing 1.5 min each side, then oven 10 min each side.

afterwards, slice into strips, put them on a bed of arugola seasoned with lemon juice, salt and pepper., then put balsalmic vinegar in the still hot pan that was used and make a little sauce for pouring over the meat.

side of green peas.

after dinner will be limoncello di sorrento which has been in the freezer during dinner.
