ZOOOOOM!

Yep, 89th's a total dick. So's Larry for always getting on your case. Me too, for pointing out your own bull****. Mik's obviously a jerk as well for making jokes. So's Klaus, for telling you to stop taking everything so seriously. So's Quirt for pretty much doing the same. Or hey, maybe it's Daniel. Maybe Daniel's the total asshole here. Nahh, couldn't be. |

Daniel, I don't like Larry at all. I think he might be a nice guy in person and great with kids, but in this forum I dont like him. He knows that, and we respectfully disrespect each other. You just cant handle anything. Yes people insult you, people insult everyone! But it's never a problem until you throw a hissy-fit about it. And no, that wasn't a gay insult. |

Daniel, do you remember when you decided to stay out of these discussions because it seems to bring out the worst in other people as well as the worst in you? That was a smart decision. jf |

Is your German as good as his English, Daniel? I'd be really impressed if it was. Mine could do with improvement. Maybe you could be my German tutor. I mean, I'm assuming you're fluent since you made that comment about his English. |

Hey, Renauda! Welcome back. Are you back on the continent? If so, start a thread and tell us. |

LW, this was during the height of the Civil Rights Movement, in the late 60's. As the olympic athletes (track events, I think...) stood on the stand, the national anthem was played. Rather than holding their hands over their hearts, the athletes chose instead, to give the Black Power salute in protest. |

Honestly? I thought it was inappropriate, but I do recognize the reason why and the justness of their cause. Putting the glove on the other hand, for the moment, they were not running for the office of POTUS, either.

I'm guessing Klaus' English grammar is a whole lot better than yours. FL students always know more thoroughly. That was low. |

I was going to say that, too, Sarah. I'm sure that when I was at the height of my German study, my German grammar was better than some Germans. And, looking at my post, I do believe I made an error. Should that not be "I'd be really impressed if it were." ?
