Daniel, Larry takes shots at you because you are predictable in the way you react.

What bugs me, is that Klaus and Quirt, myself in the past, and a few others, have tried to help you and have offered advice, but you turn around and smack them for it. Not exactly the way to foster goodwill and support... And taking a shot at Mik's wife was really over the top. :(

FWIW, Daniel, you really need to chill out. Not everyone is your enemy but you seem to piss them of and then, yeah, they are your enemy. Chill out.

Also, why do you let people goad you on the way they do? Saying something about Mik's wife was out of line. I missed it but even mentioning her was out of line. The language with all the **********s makes someone not even want to read your posts.

Don't get me wrong. Goading you is WRONG. But, they're obviously going to keep doing it. Sadly, you're obviously going to keep taking the bait.

Bad form.

Happy, Larry? Proud? Gleeful? You can be a real a$$.

Quirt was wrong in his interpretation of what Mik said as even Mik later admitted and I am sure that if Quirt thinks that I was overly personal with him that he will tell me. I am sure you know this. :)

Klaus was flat out wrong, both about what Mik said, and in accusing me of inventing things, etc.

If I can say, I think you have a double standard. You always look at me negatively. I don't know why you do it. I honestly try not to think about it. I like you and I want to continue to get along with you. I try to avoid getting into arguments with you and I think I have done that pretty well.

But it is times like this that test me.

JOKING, Frank. Joking, it's fine.

Well.. I may have a double standard. I generally try to be fair. On the other hand, I am human, and don't always measure up to my own ideals, and no one is more painfully aware of that than I am. I just hope you can find a more constructive way to deal with people... People don't always have it out for you, and the occasional quip is not generally meant in a personal way. No one knows you, other than the posts you make here, so how can it possibly be personal, anyway?

Maybe before you post, (and this has helped me in the past), to take a couple of breaths and think, I'm going to reply, but the first rule is that I am not going to let anger drive me.

I kind of think that's a good approach to life, too. The emotions are part and parcel of who we are, (just as our sexuality, music, or anything else), but it is not the sum total of who we are. When we let emotions drive us, then we aren't in balance or control. We lose equilibrium and the ability to be objective and choose our action/reaction.

I don't know if that helps... I hope so. Good luck.

When I object I am the one (supposedly) who is wrong. It is swimming against the tide. I do not know why I bother to do it. I do not know why anyone would bother to do it.

Objecting is one thing. Cranking your head around and projectile vomiting split-pea soup all over everyone and everything is eh... a little stronger than merely objecting. ;)

What I don't understand is why so many people throw sh!t around in a forum which is supposed to be a place for social interaction. Do you folks not have enough crap in your real lives? Or are your everyday social interactions like this as well? If I had blazing rows with people on a day to day basis I think I'd stay home and drink expensive whisky.

Are you people blind?

Well, I don't read EVERY thread all the time. I missed it, and I wondered which thread that was in.
And how are you today?

When I object I am the one (supposedly) who is wrong.

It is the way you object and who you object to soemtimes that are messed up. You need to find a better way to deal with it, not for our sakes, but for your own sake.

By objecting the way you do, who do you hurt? The people or person who has wronged you? or yourself? or bystanders that sometimes just want to help?

Answer:
Not the person who wronged you in the first place. He's a happy cat right now. Licking his paws, waiting for the next opportunity to bait you.

Just because he's an ass, doesn't mean you need to become an ass.

JMO and two cents.

Take it for what it's worth.

I don't have blazing rows with people on a day to day basis, but I must say, staying home and drinking expensive whisky sounds like a fantastic idea. LET'S DO EET!!!!

You don't have a problem with people making gay jokes, Aqua, because of your twisted viewpoint on this subject.  You would rather blame me (and presume to speak for everyone, how ridiculous).

Well okay, let's clarify some things.

My viewpoint on this subject -- making gay jokes -- is that at some point, you brought Mik's wife into your argument. That's a good example of why I give no **** what Mik or anyone else says to you, ever. If that's twisted I won't argue with you, because it won't change my mind any. And I didn't say I speak for anyone. People are more than capable of speaking for themselves. When I brought up the others it was your references to them, not the other way around.

It is just the way you squealed like a stuffed pig for days because Dumbledore was gay. It is just the way you said "I am not homosexual". Hint" it is "I am not gay". It is the 21st century. That's what we say now.

Thanks for informing me on the accepted nomenclature of the homosexual community. The term "gay" doesn't fit you very well though, because happy and carefree you most certainly are not.

Basically, you have the personality of a fly or a gnat. You follow follow me around these threads and you bitch at me. I have to wonder why. Yes, it is annoying, but it is kind of amusing. You are very young, and you are a very private person. You are very smart, but you are also very dumb. I like 89th (sort of). I don't like you. You annoy me. You have some kind of issue. Whatever it is, you don't handle it very well.

I bitch at you because you're being a dick. Now usually that doesn't compel me to say anything but you're being a dick to people who were trying to be nice to you and offer objective advice. You cry bigotry and sexual hatred, and then you insult someone's wife of all things. And again, this goes back to why I don't care about how anyone treats you here.

You want to be the exemplar of integrity in these kinds of situations? Keep your mouth shut.

I don't want to be the exemplar of integrity, and I'm probably the wrong person to ask. I would rather just see you shut the **** up.

Yeah I know, wishful thinking.
