Since when isn't it politically correct to mock Christianity? I must not have gotten the memo. |

IT - Here's the test for political correctness: have someone work in an office hang this cartoon in their cubicle. If HR calls within 3 days, its not politically correct. ![]() |

It is interesting to note that Christians created this nation in which Christianity, the prevalent religious faith CAN be mocked. |

That cartoon is more like rude, vulgar or trashy, not really politically incorrect. HR usually won't argue with rude, vulgar or trashy. If through some sort of bizarre twist of fate you have someone in HR who is well-mannered and has a backbone they might give you a call. |

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy | |

"Politically Incorrect" is relative. Colloquially, it means "things that others are offended by but not me". (ps - the cartoon is fcuking hilarious )

You can define "Politically Incorrect" to suit your taste. And hilarious is certainly in the eye of the beholder. However, rude, vulgar or trashy, remain appropriate descriptions of the cartoon. And your ps. |

Now here's something that's politically correct, but vulgar - and it still made me laugh like heck. I guess I just can't escape that adolscent humor. Blame it on my brother - he's the one who keeps sending me such carp. Glade Plug Ups |

I know, I know. In angry-white-manville, politically incorrect means 'jokes about blacks and gays'. In my circles, those are considered rude, trashy and, well, low class. Hence the point about subjectivity. |

I know of no HR folks who would tolerate that cartoon publicly displayed. Ran it by a couple friends in the field and they both said the person who posted that cartoon would be doing their career some damage and would be not only instructed to take it down but counseled and possibly reprimanded. |

Great! This supports jon-nyc's original characterization of the cartoon as politically incorrect, and obliterates ivorythumper's assertion that the cartoon is not politically incorrect.
