I Owe It All To John D'Oh

The homosexual groups are going nuts about this, but I think the guy comes across very impressively. http://www.redlasso.com/ClipPlayer.aspx?id...45-f3fd31c008ca Most interesting point (to me) ... when he says that he's in favor of criminalizing abortion, he says it's not a faith-based belief, it goes much "deeper than that". I would never, ever have thought I'd hear a minister saying that something in him was deeper than his faith. |

Well, "deeper" could have many connotations. Perhaps, he meant the issue was more complex than being only faith-based. |

Listen to the link. That isn't what he was saying. |

Can't view it from here, so I can only speculate, unfortunately. Trying to find a typed version, though. |

I only viewed it once, so I'm going from memory ... but I think he said it came from a deeper place, part of being a human being, and started quoting the Founding Fathers about how all men are created equal, and he loves living in a country where all men are equal. He seems sincere, and thoughtful, and impressive to me. I like him. I may hate a lot of his views, but him I like. |

However, I can't imagine this is going to win him a lot of votes from women:

It's weird. I was just telling JF the other day how likeable he is. He really does come across as a very thoughtful, articulate decent human being. Heh - kind of scary.

I think this household would need to be bombarded by the flying pig version of the Imperial Death Star before this was likely to come to pass. |

HOLY CARP!!!

Just read the first quote that is on the screen. Ok? I can't deal with this and creationism too. I guess he comes across as likable to upper-middle class straight people. He's got a teddy bear like quality to him. But someone who talks about the institutionalized acceptance of necrophilia needs a brain transplant. ![]() |

In the interview, at least, he did not say he would criminalize abortions. Russert used the word "ban". |
