We will just stay home and watch the ball drop. Have some Sparkling Wine for Luke and Champagne for us. Probably play a board game or video game?

Thanks Peggy, I will. He's working like a mad person right now, though financially it will pay off. He didn't get home last night until 9:30 and Lucas insisted on staying up to play Starwars with his daddy on the PSP. Lucas didn't go to bed until 10:30.

I had to look at the calendar to see when New Year's is. Does that answer the question? :P

We always stay in for Amateur Night New Years Eve.

The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D

Just me and the family. I'm on backup call (on call New Years Day), so that means I'm not able to be more than 15 minutes from work, and of course, there's no alcohol involved.

A small party here at my house ... just a few friends and family. A few kids, in two age brackets.

We are at the Bay. It's quiet and peaceful. No plans yet. Lots of friends in the area - maybe dinner with some of them, maybe not.

We are such geezers, we don't even wait up to watch the ball drop.

I have some beer in the garage with your name on it, Frank.

And the name is "Old Speckled Hen".

A mighty fine ale.

Of course, you might think this is the more appropriate beverage for me to serve:

Suggestion for those without a New Year's Eve plan:

Let's just pile into the TNCR chat room.

Even if you have other plans, log in and keep that chat window open anyway, just in case your original plan turns out unbearably boring when compared to the ever so lively, profoundly wise, and engagingly witty TNCR coffee drinkers. :D
