You're right.

Sorry.

I want to see him support gay/lesbian marriage.

It amazed me when I see politicians try to defend the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman, and I laugh.

What marriage was that senator, your first or your second?

I, too, would like to see him support gay marriage. More than you probably know.

But I don't see it happening anytime soon and, it's my opinion, that there are other issues of equal if not more importance such as bringing the men and women home from Iraq after they complete their mission. Hopefully with success.

I don't think there's a perfect candidate for any of us out there.

I can't fault him on his divorce. After all, I'm divorced, even if we're getting re-married in March. You don't know what went on in his first marriage and neither do I. So, how can you judge? Sometimes IMHO people just aren't healthy for each other.

You hit the nail on the head.

I am glad to know you support the gay/lesbian marriage issue, too.

In the interest of full disclosure, I have to say I do not support gay marriage.

As far as gay marriage goes, I'm in favor. Like that will matter.

It's not a dealbreaker issue for me, though. From my point of view, there are no perfect candidates this year, and there are many issues that are far more important.

I don't like McCain's stand on several issues. But I like McCain, and I trust his honesty. I have a hard time saying that about several other candidates.

Perhaps start a new thread? I would say that 99% of my posts for the first two years of forum activity were on this issue. While fun to debate, it gets tiring as well as offensive for some.

That one's easy - and only Dewey, who's not here these days, is qualified to argue against it.

I do not support gay marriage because I believe it is not supported by Teh Holy Bible!

I am with Quirt on this, but for the same reasons I would vote for Obama first.
