{Insert seasonal salutation here}; Which do you say?

HOLY CARP!!!
What a bunch of misery guts!

I say Merry Christmas if I feel the moment calls for it, 'have a good holiday' if the moment calls for it, or 'get off the road, moron' if the moment calls for it. I don't lose any sleep over the religious hold some people seem to think the season demands; it's just a holiday and I'll say what I want to acknowledge said event. When I say 'Merry (or Happy) Christmas', I'm wishing that person some good cheer, good food, time with friends and family, some days off, and some pretty lights on a tree.

I say "Merry Christmas."

I appreciate it when I'm out at stores or such, and people aren't afraid to say "Merry Christmas" to me.

Me too.

Though I do say Happy Holidays too.

Are stores around there even open on Christmas???

(man I find this whole topic to be confusing)

Here there are lots of stores open on xmas, but the proprietors are usually Asians who probably wouldn't think to say "Merry Christmas" to anyone. Also, here the Jewish population is too large for one to assume that someone is Christian.

In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

I don't even get your joke since you must know people say it before Christmas Day too.

I was at the mall today and was told "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Holidays" both.

No, its not a joke. I just don't hear it. I was even in Saks the other day, and still didn't hear it (although there's plenty of Christmas stuff up everywhere)

Of course I know that companies run adds that say Merry Christmas, Seasons Greetings, or whatever, but I really can't recall hearing normal people wish each other Merry Christmas when its not even Christmas.

In my defense, I was left unsupervised.
