Barking mad, but quite the genius in his work. It is so hard to know where to begin with favorite pieces. The cafe at night, the pool room, so many of his landscapes and portraits. I saw the Van Gogh-Gaugin show in Chicago. It was amazing, but as much as I like a lot of Gaugin's work, some of his early stuff was quite amateurish. |
