I had the good fortune of seeing Awagaddin Pratt perform here in Maine a couple of years ago.  He gave a  fantastic recital.  He turned me onto another composer I'd never dabbled with before - Franck, and  his Prelude, Fugue and Variation (swoon).  He also did a great job of the wild Scriabin Opus 8, No. 12 Etude.

Excellent -- It was probably ~8-10 years ago that he played here in Rochester, so I'm a little foggy on the selections he played. However, I do remember that he played a mean version of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. IIRC, the rest of his setlist was unusual -- things you don't often hear.

I gotta check out the other Etude you mention -- ah, looking at it now, I recognize it as one that Horowitz played a lot. Quite a bit more difficult than my two :P .

Yes, that's the one. It's a knuckle breaker!

And best of luck. Phlebas's advice is good. It's not often that those opportunities present themselves to us mere mortals.
