Yards

There is no drawer or shelf in our home that isn't full to capacity with either piano, vocal or cello music. I have three full size filing cabinets, a bunch of trunks, several shelves, and an old legal filing case that my father refinished, all full of music. I have nearly 9 ft of opera scores alone. The piano music is probably about 1/4 of the whole amount.

All stacked up, it would probably produce a stack about 4' high.

How does one measure the amount of piano sheet music stored in one's head? :D

I have a simple notebook of sheet music I'm working on...and also whatever's in my piano bench. :thumb:

boxes and boxes.

No idea. Maybe about 5 1/2 feet when stacked.

Now, music text books - Even more. I have quite the growing collection of musicology, composition, and piano lit books.

And how are you today?

I don't have ONE of any!

All three are on my wish list of the future!

I can't imagine what my final music text book collection will amount to. :nerd:

One music cabinet completely full. Two milk crates - full.

Books about music, music dictionaries, etc. - they fill two complete shelves of a 4' long bookcase.
You can never get enough of what you don't need to make you happy.

I had tons as a kid - I was buying almost every week from an antiquaire. Most of the scores remained in Bucharest.

From 1997 I have lots of boxes of printed scores, about 5GB as pdf on my computer , I pay 3$/month at pianostreet, I bought all they have at sheetmusicarchive. I also bought a spiral bounding machine so I make my own books.
