Aren't you all scared of their beaks? They are both very beautiful birds!

No, unless he's in one of his 'moods'. Even though we can read him and tell when he's in a mood, we've got many scars from that beak.

BUT, he also is extremely loving. I'm his favorite person. :D He spends tons of time preening me, kissing me, regurging for me, etc. He's quite the little ham.

Here's a video of Toby cuddling with me: http://www.parrottimes.com/TobyVideos.html

Finally
We are not afraid to take Sid outdoors either. Macaws are different from other birds in the sense that, being much larger (weighing about 2 lb), it takes A LOT of wind and wing power to get them aloft. Clipped wings makes it (relatively) safe. The other thing is that we've had Sid since he was 8 weeks old. He has only flown about 4-5 times, in the house, and therefore never developed the pectoral (breast) muscles necessary for sustained flight. If something startles him, he'll flap and flutter down from his perch, but he never gains lift. I'm sure that a smaller bird (even an Amazon Parrot) would be more likely to get some lift even with clipped wings.

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.
