HOLY CARP!!!

I don't because I'm only here to eat and sleep pretty much. Yesterday I did turn it on for a couple of hours because it was SO hot. I'm a poor college kid - I don't turn the a/c on and I also don't have tv anymore - another waste of money. |

I didn't have it in college either, but do now. It's a necessity between the Kansas heat + humidity and allergies. |

HOLY CARP!!!

I was going to see if I could go a year without it. I was good in June, enjoying the warm air on my skin. I was good in July, opening windows and sitting on the back porch, where cool breezes moved through. I gave up in August, fairly certain I would do nothing by lay on the floor, motionless, unless I found some relief. |

It's always on, whether I'm home or not. My apartment complex includes it in our rent (uber-woot!) so it's always set at about 68 degrees, no matter what the temp is outside, all year.

Haven't used it yet this year. Didn't use it last year. I have an exhaust fan in the central hallway ceiling and, as long as it cools off in the evenings, outside air can be drawn into the house. I don't turn the AC on because no one is home during the day most days. Big Al |

It's way too hot & humid here not to have the AC on. 102 yesterday, same for the next 2 days. |

Same here + VERY humid, but I survive. Yesterday, I did nothing but lay on my bed for about 1/2 hour because it was so hot. Edit: I just checked the weather - 97, but feels like 114!

I have a small apartment, so I just have a window unit. I didn't bother getting it out this year. I'm gone for about half the summer anyways, and I've luckily spent most of the two big heat waves at the boyfriend's place. He has air, and yes, it is on. |

Two zone central. It's on almost all the time. I've found the older I get, the more necessary it becomes. |

We have two wall units in the front and back of the house. They're off during the day, but we run them at night so we can sleep. When I lived in Boston I didn't have an air conditioner (6 years). |

Random FML: Today, I was fired by my boss in front of my coworkers. It would have been nice if I could have left the building before they started celebrating. FML The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D | |

It's on here, but probably doesn't need to be, as it has not been that hot out most of this week. (excluding yesterday, which still was very tolerable) |

Three zones for the house, one for the garage, one for the barn and of course the chillers for the pool--I like the water at a consistant 78 degrees. |
