And our son has a new hobby - Snakes! This is Jazz, a zigzag corn snake. Totally harmless by the way.

HOLY CARP!!!
Cool, beautifu dog.

We had snakes when I was a kid.
I never really liked them but it was cool to watch our king snake catch a live mouse and slowly swallow it.

Poor mouse.

Nice dog!! What kind is it?

Ollie has gotten huge! He is mostly collie with a little black lab in the mix. His father is a purebred collie and looks alot like Lassie. His mother is half collie and half black lab. So Ollie ended up looking like a black collie. He weighs about 75 pounds. The collie breeder we bought him from was amazed at how large he grew! He is taller than his father by quite a bit. He's a good boy most of the time, but like any doggie, he has his moments!

This was Ollie as a pup:

He's surprisingly big and long. Does he have the disposition of a collie?

I have a snake carcass in my office right now. I found a small milk snake smashed flat in a parking lot near here and picked it up to show a couple of my co-workers.

I hope none of your family or friends was affected by the I35W bridge collapse. It seems fortunate to me that even more people were not killed given the time of day it occurred. I drove over that bridge a few times when it was nearly new (1972-73) but haven't been back to Minneapolis since. I and some friends used to wander around near the stone arch bridge upstream and St. Anthony's Falls.

Yes he is a very mellow dog for the most part, but a little quirky.

Fortunately none of our friends or relatives were on or near the bridge at the time it collapsed. It would have been much worse if the other side had not been closed for repaving. My sister-in-law can see the bridge frm her office windows. She says its an aweful site and still so many people to be found.

What a gorgeous snake! I had a Chihuahua Mountain King Snake for a long time. Looks almost exactly like a coral snake. He finally got too big, so I sold him back to the pet store that I purchased him from.

Oh yeah: Good lookin' dog! :D
