I didn't know that such a thing exists...

Strange but true story that happened on another board not far from here...

Guy was making an informative posting and used the posessive to identify a company's "owner" he had spoken to on the phone...

It also turns out the "owner" wasn't the owner but the head of that company's North American sales...

Some unhinged, brown-nosing wacko saw it and, being upset he didn't post the info first, made a huge stink about how the poster was a "danger" to the board for posting damaging, incorrect information about the company & the "owner"...

Based on the specific content & context of the "offending" posting, I thought otherwise...

A little like calling Nordstrom "Nordstroms" at the most, but the unhinged guy didn't stop to think the posting was about the company and THE COMPANY'S head of NA sales..

If there are any "dangerous" guys like that on TNCR, I'd like to meet them and buy them a beer...

A BECKS in a STEIN....

[What, you thought I was going to say a BECH in a STEIN?]

Do you think there's such a thing as a 'dangerous' poster, apple?

Spike,

With all due respect: we do not get "dangerous" posters here - by your description. It's more or less impossible because this is not a forum centered on a product or specific topic (pianos, for example).

What we get here from time to time are people (or socks, though I'm not accusing you of that) who post annoying stuff. For example, occasionally - not too often - people post stuff about other forums that has nothing to do with TNCR. That gets very tiresome - at least to me.

No offense, and I'm not a moderator here, but there's lots of interesting topics to discuss here besides PW. :)

The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D

You may yawn in the face of danger, Mikhailo, but you clearly underestimate the very real threat. For the last two years I have been heading up the North American branch of Steinway's counter-terrorism unit here on the American mainland, and I can assure you that the Chinese companies aren't laughing. Last week a supposedly original Bechstein exploded on stage, very nearly killing a well-known popular singer. Thankfully his agent was standing between the piano and the artist, and his wallet saved them both from the blast.

This is a war we must not lose. Art is the last bastion of the American way of life, and those on the front line are relying on me, and others like me, to protect their God-given right to make millions of dollars by pretending to play enormously expensive pianos while some session musician bangs away on a 25 year old upright behind a curtain.

Dangerous posters? You betcha!
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?
