HOLY CARP!!!
|
I have only ever failed one class, and it was grade 10 math. It was a combination of lack of homework completion, and lack of studying. |

Nope. I went through a bit of a rough time in my last year of highschool, when my then boyfriend was killed in a car accident. As a result, I was failing calculus and algebra/geometry. Luckily, I had the same calculus teacher I had for math the year before, when I got a 96% in his class. He and another teacher came to me and snapped me out of it. I dropped Alg/Geo (I had MORE than enough credits to graduate) and came in for extra calculus help every morning to go over what I had "missed" in my fog for the first couple months of school. I ended up with a high 80 in the class. I ran into Mr. Hildebrandt a couple years ago, and unfortunately he's quite ill (lukemia). He was a wonderful man and teacher. |

I did something very similar. I think it was grade 9 (last year that French was mandatory, I think). I would have failed, but the teacher said she'd pass me as long as I promised not to sign up for French the next year. I had a baaad attitude that year.

I failed French and Geography, which are rather appropriate subjects for an Englishman to fail. |

I did pretty well in grade 9 French. Well enough, that I decided to take it again in grade 10. Since it is no longer a mandatory class, grade 10 French is much more complicated! I struggled through it, and ended up with a 64, and decided not to take it again in Grade 11.

I failed 3 out of 6 of my freshman year classes, entirely out of laziness. My english teacher even made it a point to give me an F- for during the second marking period. Using some excuse about it being a high-level course wouldn't have helped, as I received an A- on the mid-term exam. ooops. |

Sophmore English. I tied for second in the state in English Scholarship tests that year too. Mrs. Sullivan was a brand new teacher and I figured I could get by without doing my book reports. Bad strategy. My parents were so confused. |

ZOOOOOM!

Never failed any classes, ever. Can't say I really did exceptionally well in any of them, either. Thought it was too much trouble than it's worth. Still think so. |

You obviously have a great deal of faith in my restraint, if you're going to feed me straight lines like that. |

I flunked Mechanical Drawing and Art, which is really ironic, because I spent my entire childhood sketching, drawing, and painting. The Mechanical Drawing teacher was NOT a teacher in any sense of the word. I legitimately wanted help and asked for it, and got mumbled, garbled crap instead of instruction. I flunked art because the teacher was a $hit and made no secret of the fact that he hated his Beginning Art classes. Neither the Mechanical Drawing teacher nor the Art teacher were teaching, the next year. I also had to go in and plead with my Algebra teacher to give me a D-minus so that I could leave for boot camp, or else it would have shoved everything back another semester. In all fairness, in THIS class, I was definitely the one at fault. I spent my time pissing around and being a smart-ass, instead of paying attention and doing my work. (He gave me the D-minus, thankfully!) |
