Preakness. Pino. Period.

Spike Lee from DC
Junior Carp
Hard Spun: 5-2

Street Sense: 7-2

Fast track, home track, short track.

Small field.

Fast start.

Hard Spun: winner.

(I'm a little biased 'cause my daughter goes to school with Pino's daughter.)

HOLY CARP!!!
I'm rooting for Hard Spun and Pino.

added edit: even though, Calvin Burrell (sp?) has a very sentimental story. He's probably my sentimental favorite.

Darn!

Third place.

Oh, well.

Still the fastest splits in Preakness history.

And "in the money" for the second time in the 2007 Triple Crown...

Yeah, Burrell & Street Sense are a real compelling story.

Great horse, great jockey.

Great race by all three horses.

No Triple Crown winner, though :weeping:

oooooooh! And have a couple of Black Eyed Susans? OH YEAH! They go down like lemonade.

Have you ever been to the Preakness, Spike?

I grew up within walking distance to Pimlico. Probably wouldn't walk it though, cuz it'd be dangerous and it'd be a really long walk.

What an exciting finish to race today. Wow!

Here's to you, and hoping the 2008 Preakness is just as exciting and makes you a lot of money! :sombrero:

Haven't been yet, but plan to go in 2008.

My guess is the way to do it is buy the tickets early & go upscale just enough to avoid the riff-raff.

Though the riff-raff in the infield may be having a better time than all the others.

You are invited to attend. :sombrero:
