HOLY CARP!!!
|
Wow. I can't believe how bizarrely addicting Facebook is. I've reconnected with a bunch of long lost friends. I'm antisocial by nature (if I can't talk to you online, I don't keep in touch - I'm a bad friend) so I've suddenly been overwhelmed with contacts from university and even highschool. An old highschool friend - one of the only ones who I've actually, truly wondered where they are now - has recently messaged me and we're reconnecting. It's incredibly odd, but kind of cool. I don't know what I would have done if I lived in an age before computers - probably be one of those hermits who someone finds dead in their apartment only because they didn't show up to work for a couple weeks. All hail the internet!

I give the creator tons of respect - so far it hasn't been infected by the inherent nature of the interweb: spam & pr0n. It's very clean and organized...I like! |

I suppose it depends on how you use either how "bad" they are. But the whole purpose of Facebook was to allow people to stay in touch with each other - people who you already know in real life. I have my profile set so only people I have approved as friends can see it (and I think most people have the same, it must be the default). I haven't had a single person request to add me that I don't know already. Check it out - it's pretty neat! |

I think I might. I keep hearing stories like yours, where people are getting in touch with long lost friends. I moved around so much when I was younger, I can think of lots of names of people I've lost touch with. |
