It sounds like an interesting means of supplying hydrogen to portable fuel cells. Given that raw aluminum production in a state-of-the-art smelter consumes around 13 Kilowatt-hours of electricity to produce a kilogram of aluminum, there will have to be a lot of electricity produced somewhere to make this process work.
