I have the names, addresses, phone numbers, and finger prints of every member here...would it be a "no no" to post that? |

It's against the rules to post a PM that someone sent to you? I don't think that's in the rules as they exist, Kenny. |

I did that once and apple killed me, then she beat me up. (I didn't think it was such a big deal, but apple "trained" me.) apple, should that be a rule, or more of a courtesy? I don't think we want to start a list of courtesies, do we? |

But I think to drag a PM out for public perusal, while not against the TOS per se, is definitely lower than worm $hit, and at the very least, a case of questionable ethics and scruples, as well as a lack of moral compass and character. |

It's common sense. If they wanted the info public, they would have made a thread. |

Posting a PM is tacky. But should it be a rule? Breaking a rule justifies moderation. There should be as few rules as possible. |

I'm in favor of fewer rules and general guidelines. It's like trying to define porn versus erotica: I know when I see it, which it is. LOL |

If anybody ever sent me a threatening or clearly offensive PM, I would post it on the board immediately to make everybody aware of what the person was doing. If someone wants a Private Mail to stay private, they need to treat the person they are communicating with respectfully. If they don't, then it's their own stupid fault. |

Every now and then we bring up a conversation about rules - it never goes anywhere and sometimes people get pissed off. Whatever we've been doing, just keep doing it - seems to work just fine. |

I can agree with this, too. Okay: How about one basic rule: "Treat others the way you would like to be treated." (I think I learned that in kindergarten....) |

That rule is completely unworkeable. I'm not giving anybody all my money, thanks very much, and BJ's are pretty much out of the question, come to that. |

That would mean 50% of TNCR post need to be moderated. That should be a suggestion, not a rule. |

No nosey and meddlesome polls started by gossipy busybody regular posters (you know who you are) pertaining to bodily functions, private sexual behaviors and general questions that are frankly, nobody's goddamn business. |

I'd say it is your job to not open that person's threads. (Whoever that is. )I do that instead of trying to control a couple people here. People vary. |

Honestly, personally, I think if a person is sending nasty PMs you should be free to post them on the forum and let the light of day solve the problem. People should not use the PM feature to be more nasty than they'd be in public. |

So, what I take from all this is a pretty common sense approach of "don't say anything so charged in a PM you wouldn't say in a post" 'cause it could become public, right? |
