I'm liking Romney more and more each day. I think of course he sounds and looks presidential, no doubt about that. But his clarity (possibly the next "Great Communicator"?) while speaking and his stance on issues are starting to win me over. I do have a subtle fear that he's going to be the John Kerry of 2008, losing the election over on-the-surface apparent flip flops...but we'll see. Sorry Quirt I didn't respond directly to your posted article.

I used to like Mitt, before he made it clear his point of view on any issue is for sale to the holder of the most votes.

I like his father even more. George stuck to his guns as a moderate Republican.

HOLY CARP!!!
The article seems to be a hit piece. I mean, they couldn't find one positive quote from someone? I read the entire thing but I am still only struck by the NRA comment. It was Kerry-esque.

Also, the author seems to put out a "false choice" as it were.

From the article:

Quote:

Whereas Romney dedicated himself in Massachusetts to "full equality for America's gay and lesbian citizens," he now describes himself as "a champion of traditional marriage."

I fail to see how these two statements are in conflict. Seems to describe my position on those issues.

He used to support the Massachusetts gay marriages. Now he doesn't.

Changed his mind, I guess.

He is utterly Kerryesque! He will say whatever he needs to say to get your vote. He IS the Republican John Kerry.
