Over here we are more politically correct, afraid of lawsuits, or just scared of offending people. For example, in the airport we say "Please do not leave your bag unattended. Unattended bags may be discarded." and on our cigarette packs we say "Surgeon General Warning: Smoking increases your chance of lung cancer" Over THERE in Ireland their airports say "Please do not leave your bag unattended. Unattended bags will be collected and destroyed." and on their cigarette packs it says quite simply, "Smoking kills you". |
