Finally
A while ago, I was looking for some good arrangements of classic standards that were not too boring. I asked that question at another forum, and I was pointed to "Piano Stylings of the Great Standards" from the Steinway Library of Piano Music.

Well, using my DiscoverCard cashback bonuses, I have acquired all 5 volumes in this set, along with the Christmas collection - for free.

Fabulous, fabulous stuff.

If you're looking for something that's just a bit jazzy, and something that may challenge you, and something that's fun to sight-read through, give one of these a try. What I particularly like is that each volume has wonderful arrangements of 12 (or so) songs in the front of the book, and then the original sheet-music version in the back. For you to compare and contrast.

I spent this afternoon sight-reading through some of the songs ("Blue Moon" is amazing!) and had a great time.

Highly, highly recommended.

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.
