Dreams and ambitions, how did they work for you?

We all have goals, dreams, and ambitions - but especially when we are young and the world is at our feet.

For those of you who are really old now (30+), did you meet your goals, fall short of them, or did life just change your priorities?

What's the most outrageous ambition or dream that you had when you were younger? Did you achieve it?

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

HOLY CARP!!!
I have achieved things I never knew were important in my 20s.

I have touched other people with my art.
I have learned to love and be loved.
I have learned forgiveness.
I have peace.

I decided that I wanted to live in America when I was 18 and then forgot about it completely for a few years... It didn't turn out quite the way I expected it too.

Tomorrow I'll shop for my zimmer frame.
Pfft.

I have 2 healthy girls. I pray to God that they stay healthy. What they show me every day is more than I could have possible imagined. Achieving my personal goals is nothing compared to watching them laugh. I'll be 37 in a few weeks. I guess I'm old, but I don't feel it...
So live your life and live it well.
There's not much left of me to tell.
I just got back up each time I fell.

Well said.
