cessation going? I hope it's going well, or if you're smoking you can quit soon.

Defenses are holding.

Thanks for asking.

How about you?
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

I'm glad to hear it. I've wanted to smoke a couple times but haven't done it.

Daniel, it's been since New Year's for you right? Jon, about 9 months?

Are you guys finding that the urges are coming less and less frequently?

After about a year, I would have a feeling "Hey, it would be nice to have a smoke right now," but never a real *urge* to light one up. It was a pretty abstract feeling.

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

George, the last cigarette I had was at 11:55 pm on the last day of last year- that's true. No, I don't think the urges are less frequent. Looking forward to that.

I quit in December. December 12th (pretty random date, but it was returning home from a trip).

I still have urges. The worst is when I'm in London hanging in a pub with smokers.

That would be tough!

It's been over a year for me. I hadn't had the urge to smoke in several months. Now, it's time to start seriously working off the weight I gained while quitting. (About 15 pounds)

Ugh!

Just a bit less, but it took me 20 years. I blame it on old age.

oh my, hopefully it won't take that long to lose it. Actually, I've lose a lot of it and then gain it back. It could have nothing to do with the smoking and everything to do with age. But I didn't actually start having problems until I quit.

Oh well, such is life. As my doctor told Mark "you can't have it all".
