I am taking my Canon digital camera on my trip in a few days to Ireland and Scotland. I believe their outlets are 220V while the outlets here in the USA are 110V. Is this correct? If so, I can easily get an adapter, so that much is known. However, the only thing I'll need it for is to possibly recharge my digital camera battery that only recharges by being plugged into the wall. On the back of my charger, it says: INPUT: 110V-240V AC 50/60Hz 0.085A(100V) -0.05A(240V) I assume that it will be safe to use this in an Ireland electrical outlet, given that the 220V is within the 110V-240V range. Am I mistaken? Thanks in advance. PS. I know that in addition to adapters, there are converters which would convert the 220 into 110, but they are 20-30 bucks, and I'd rather not spend that money if I dont need a converter. |

I am the grey one

Just plug it in with whatever adapter is needed for their outlets. Conversion will not be necessary. |

I would expect as much, as well. That is, *if* I return.

HOLY CARP!!!

I didn't say it in the first thread you posted in, due to the solemn nature, but WELCOME BACK ![]() Good to see the real you, (rather than a sock seemingly so far to the right it needs TWO extra keys) even if you are only here for a while before you take off to some foreign land. |

Thanks Riley, good to be back, although my lawyer is going to be out of work for a while. It's ok, he charged too much anyway.
