HOLY CARP!!!
Still trying to be better about cooking rather than "heating" my meals, and I'm constantly looking for inspiration.

Tonight, I'm having salmon baked in parchment with zucchini, shallots, lemon and dill. Basmati on the side.

Improv is out of town attending some cronie gathering, so I always order out when it's just me. Last night was Outback. Tonight I'm thinking either Thai or Chinese.

I hate to cook.

There is a line we cross when we go from "I will believe it when I see it" to "I will see it when I believe it".

Parmesan crusted veal chops and a salad of fresh mozzarella, melon balls, proscciuto and mint, Roman sauteed spinach. Ice water to drink so we can stay awake for a pay-per-view movie.

But if I don't get started pretty soon we might order a pizza. Who knows.

I found a new source yesterday for true prime meats - strip steaks last night were out of this world. Best steak I ever cooked. Perfectly seared on the outside, nice and rare inside.

I'm eating at Dol's house, but just in case she doesn't invite me I have a small swordfish steak (it's just me toningt), which I will probably broil with cajun seasoning, and serve with a salad and starch-to-be-named-later.

Glass of Crossings SB Marlborough New Zealand.

70% dark chocolate and white tea with jasmine for dessert.

Actually, I'm not. For most of my life I wasdownright skinny. Now I'm pretty regular, although i would like to lose about 10 pounds.

Update: aforementioned delicious dinner has been put off in favor of pizza and Flags of Our Fathers. Sloth wins out again. ^_^

It's a date...I MEAN...deal!

The Savignon Blanc I have would go really well with the salmon.

fried pickles?

Do you have a recipe for those?

I don't know how Jolly makes them, but I take plain old hamburger dill pickle chips, dip them in corn meal, and toss them in the FryDaddy.

That looks like something out of a Roald Dahl book. Or something Peter Gabriel might have worn with Genesis.
