What say you?

I'm a Patriots fan, and that was a great game. But Peyton Manning and the Colts are a classy team. He's a hall of fame QB whether they win or lose and they've got a number of pro-bowl players. I hope they win.

Aye, as do I. I would have been happy with the Pats or Bears winning it as well. Never been a fan of anything-New Orleans, though.

Well I agree with sentiments on the Colts so am hoping the make it the rest of the way. Sorry ny1911 but being a long-time Raider fan I could never cheer for the Pats; It was not a tuck ;)

As Chicago is my adopted city, working there the last couple years, I have to go with DA BEARS!!!! My in-laws, however, are dyed in the wool Hoosiers, so I don't think I'll be watching with them.

Actually our recreation association has a big Super Bowl Chili Cook-Off at the party house every year - great event. Since I'm on the social committee this year I will definitely be there.

Speaking as someone who lives almost within spitting distance of a certain team's regular venue, all I can say is 'what a relief'.

Patriots my arse.

It is amazing to me how many of the Patriots wins (and in last night's case, loss) have hinged on strange or controversial situations. "The Tuck" will be a classic.

I was disappointed in yesterday's game, as I thought New Orleans did not play particularly well against the Bears defense.

OTOH, the boys at Soldier Field sure do know how to do some home cookin'.

An entire game without a penalty?

I didn't see that game. No penalties? That's amazing.

I was hoping for a Pats/Saints supebowl. I got diddly.

They ended up with 1 penalty - no sacks, no turnovers. Darn near a perfect game.

But I'll tell you - both games yesterday were barnburners. In the Bears-Saints game, I think it was partly coaching but mainly? Burning desire - fire in the belly, on the part of the Bears won that game. Pats-Colts? Gosh - both teams are so good and so poised under pressure, I think the clock was the deciding factor. At the end of the game the Colts managed the clock very, very well.

This is one year when we can just sit back, relax and let the game play out. More often than not, there's a team playing that we hate, so we have someone to root against. Not this year, good teams, should be a fun game to watch.

I think the Patriots were killed by the Colts time of possession in the third quarter. THe defense was just on the field too long. And the 80 yard kick-off return that set up the Pat's 3rd quarter touchdown all happened so fast, they got no rest. They were dragging at the end of the game.

I liked the one yesterday where the fans held up signs that presented a glass, a bottle of Bud, opened it , poured it into the glass and drank it.. very cute.

What did they have 56 yards rushing? :D

What sealed the game for the Bears was Bush taunting their linebacker. He put the Saints back in the game, and stupidly tauted the Bears, and they came back and scored big.

The Saints couldn't put anything together offensively, and basically had just two big plays.

The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D

Now I like Prince.. his show was maybe the best rock show I ever saw, right around Purple Rain. I caight a warmup secret small club show where they were billed as Red, Hot and Blue. Unreal.

But what in h-e-double toothpicks does PRINCE have to do with FOOTBALL????

Prince is talented for sure, but a good fit for a superbowl halftime show?

He makes the cheerleaders seem masculine.

Actually I just don't like the Dolts.
