Didja notice that the 2nd window from the front looks like it's the active one, based on the arrows, and the frontmost one is inactive? WTF is that? |

When is Vista coming out for consumers? I'm thinking of getting a new computer, and I might want to do it before I get saddled with Vista. |

Quirt, get a Mac and you can have a dual-boot situation. Boot into Windows XP when you need to, and restart the computer to use the Mac OS. Best (and worst) of both worlds. |

I'm thinking I'll play Vanguard when it comes out. No Mac for that. The game is supposed to be beautiful, but the requirements will be ... cough ... large. 256MB video RAM minimum??? Plays better with 2G RAM??? We're talking serious upgrade. |

You say you were an Everquest fan? WoW's expansion pack comes out next week. Might wanna look into that. Reasonable system requirements.

WoW has never captured my interest. It's too easy. The original Everquest, before they dumbed it down, was a helluva game. Death penalty? How about a five hour corpse run, asking everyone you've ever met for help, or else you'll lose every piece of equipment on you. Now THAT would get your heart pounding. Wow is just too cartoonish for me. |

Well, WoW really isn't easy, necessarily. The reason why it became so popular was because it can attract hardcore and casual gamers alike; you can put in as much effort as you want to. Something for everybody. Guild Wars was also awesome, IMO. |

Quirt, I believe Jan 30th is the official consumer release date of Vista. BTW, I just read an article in the Washington (com)Post about how Microsoft worked with the NSA to get their system even more secure and safe to use, given that 90% of desktop computers use it...hax0rs will be at it again, so the NSA was running some hard tests on it to get it ready. |
