Maybe the people who should be a bit concerned are the lurkers? Is that healthy? ???

I tried a few times to join Mensa, too. They sent me away and I ended up in a Bunco group.

This forum is made up of educated individuals who have above average vocabularies, are intelligent, have personalities, are capable of discussing things in more depth than most, are creative, imaginative, and witty.

Thirty years ago I joined mensa hoping to interact with people who would fit this description. It was an exercise in futility, as the majority of the local members were more interested in promoting themselves than in engaging in interesting conversation on a variety of topics.

This forum has exceeded any expectations I might have dreamt of back then.

Ditto, 88. It's nice for bragging rights, but the organization doesn't live up to its own vision of itself, it seems. :rolleyes2:

I was kicked out of my Mensa group--for reasons that are too personal to mention. :(

I wasn't allowed into Mensa either. Apparently something about being too stupid, or some such nonsense.

As I said later, when I had more time to think of a witty retort, yah-boo sucks to you, with knobs on!
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

Yeah, well that was in the late 70's.

Life, as I lived it during that decade, has since taken it's toll on my brain functions. :dead:

S'okay... I didn't fare much better, after discovering ganja during my sophomore year of "HIGH" school. LMAO
