HOLY CARP!!!
i saw 5 and 7.

7 was worthless IMO.

5 i found gripping, although not as a movie per se, i just found it interesting to watch what appeared to be a very accurate behind the scenes description and understanding that it was all non fiction.

i havent seen many movies this year.

i liked munich. but its not on the list.

still need to see borat. other then that, nothing really made me consider actually going out and seeing a movie in a theater as opposed to watching later on on dvd.

The only one I saw from that list was The Illusionist; I really enjoyed that one.

The Fountain looked great, but I didn't get to see it on time.

Bach, I also really liked Munich. Very powerful.

We saw #7 on PPV this weekend. It was OK - I'm glad I didn't spend $40 to see it at the theater. Disappointing for a Ron Howard film. Haven't seen the rest, but I did see Munich and wasn't terriblyt moved.

For me, Tsotsi was probably one pf the best I saw this year. THat might have been a 2005 movie though.
So live your life and live it well.

Munich came out in late 2005, even though it's not on that list either. It was the #11 movie of 2005 IMO.

Where was Happy Feet?

I didn't see any of those. They all look a bit worthy for my taste.

The Da Vinci Code was an interesting movie to review. Although it didn't live up to the book (movie-versions rarely do), had unattainably high expectations, and it was a below average performance from Howard and Hanks, I still thought overall it was a good production and entertaining. A solid movie indeed.

There was something I didn't like about suggesting that a person could be the only living descendant of Christ- it seemed hokey and it rubbed me the wrong way.

The ending was not well done. Both main characters concluded and accepted too easily that one of them was a decendant of Jesus Christ. And then to have everyone else conveniently show up at the end - hokie.
So live your life and live it well.
