I got a 2 GB iPod nano for Christmas. This is a review after ten minutes of using it (never even seen an iPod until today).

o,m,g. wow.

For anyone who is wondering about getting one- it's everything you have heard and more.

The sound of MP3 files downloaded from the internet (the lowest sound quality possible) is great. I wondered about this. It isn't anything like "that's garbage, I can't listen to it"). I am surprised.

I saved my Mozart-Horowitz CD with Lossless- it seems perfect to me.

The click wheel/ screen is genius. It's like driving a fine car. It is so easy to control it that it almost becomes an extention of your thoughts.

All of your music and any time you want to change the volume move your thumb a little bit.

I love it! I can already tell that it is going to make it possible to listen to music again.
I'm inspired by it. Get one!

Merry Christmas everyone.

Finally
(looking for that 'wink' emoticon)

Gratz, Daniel. The only thing that I'd add is that with Apple Lossless, you'll go through 2 gigs in a hurry. Do an experiment. Rip something as lossless and then as an AAC at some reasonable bitrate (256, or so). Listen to both and decide if the quality is worth the extra space taken up. For me, it was not.

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

Thanks, George. The Lossless is just an experiment. It's going to be redone as AAC (that I haven't listened to yet).
