HOLY CARP!!!
Every year on Christmas Eve, my family goes out for Chinese food.

It's a very practical tradition -- because all the other restaurants are always closed!

It so happens that this weekend I was in Chicago visiting my brother, and my train left Union Station on Christmas Eve at 6:00. We were wandering around the streets of Chicago for an hour before that, trying to find a place to eat, and all the restaurants were closed! McDonalds was closed. Even in Union Station, the entire food court was closed -- except for the Chinese restaurant (and a Mexican fast-food, and an ice-cream shop). As my brother said to me, "We wouldn't be good Jews if we didn't eat Chinese food on Christmas Eve." So we had Chinese food.

I called my parents after I got on the train, and they said that they didn't feel right going out for Chinese food without me, so we're going tonight instead!

Hey, Sam, what great coincidence! A few of my relatives operate their own Chinese restaurants, and their Christmas tradition is to cater to Jewish customers! :D

I myself do not have any Christmas tradition.

I got Chinese last night and am going to a movie today. My name is also Isaac, which is Hebrew. I'm like the second most important Jew ever, apparently. w00tstein!

If you don't mind me asking Sam, what's your family's favorite Chinese dishes for Christmas? Would you order different dishes in Chinese restaurants just because it's Christmas? I'm going to take that to compare notes with my restaurateur relatives -- curious to see what dishes are popular among the Jews during Christmas. :)

(I had Chinese for lunch today... Szechuan this time, lamb with onion.)

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
I had a lot of sushi during yesterday's football game.. does that count?

Nothing special for Christmas -- just whatever we usually like to eat.
