Ours was in the box until about 5 hours ago. Mrs. George and Sophie (daughter #3) put it up this evening while I played Christmas music on my crappy Baldwin piano.

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

Finished decorating last night.

Let's play a game: on the tree are three large blown glass ornaments - one is Bach, one is Mozart and one is Chopin. Can you find them?

apple, you can find just about anything on eBay... :)

I got mine as a limited edition set of 3 in 1998, but here is Wolfie for sale as a stand-alone:

George, you have a good eye! Yes, you win -- actually, I think you are the only participant!

Jane D'oh, you are correct: photographing trees so that the picture is attractive is really difficult. That said, the photo of your tree with the lights on is very pretty.

I think the best pictures involve having the tree lights on - I just haven't figured out how much indirect additional light is needed to better show the ornaments without reducing the depth of field the tree lights produce.
