It's really crazy how many sequels Hollywood is releasing next summer. It seems to get worse each year. Although, I must say...many of these sequels look like they're going to be great!! :excited:

Spiderman (3rd)
Shrek the Third (3rd)
Pirates of the Caribbean: At the World's End (3rd)
Hostel (2nd)
Ocean's Thirteen (3rd)
Fantastic Four (2nd)
Evan Almighty (2nd)
Live Free or Die Hard (4th)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (5th)
The Bourne Ultimatum (3rd)
Rush Hour (3rd)
Resident Evil (3rd)

When is a sequel not a sequel?

I'm not sure we should moan and whine about movies which were planned as mult-movie series, such as Harry Potter, for example. Let's face it, we'd have been mighty pissed if Peter Jackson hadn't released The Two Towers.

As far as the others go, it is a shame that Hollywood can't come up with more new ideas, particularly since one such movie is going to involve Mrs. D'Oh going on about how much she likes suntanned men with eyeliner who slur their words a lot. On second thoughts, two out of three ain't bad, maybe I should just break out the fake tan and maybe even get lucky over Christmas.

Well a movie isn't a sequel when it is an original release. A sequel, however, is always a sequel...so I couldn't understand your question and I couldn't tell if you were being sarcastic. :P

The first Fantastic Four was such a piece of cinematic genius that they are making a sequel???

Spare me.

I like the look of Shrek 3 and Spiderman.

I'm not so sure about Live Free or Die Hard. Bruce Willis attempts the unthinkable: To drive from New York to register a car in New Hampshire without smiling once, even though many mildly amusing things happen on the way.

I'm going to see this next weekend Bon Cop, Bad Cop

There's talk of a sequel to this too. ^_^

I'd probably watch Shrek 3, and HP, but most likely will wait for the dvd versions.

Agreed. Fantastic Four was one of the worst movies I've seen in a while (and I watch bad movies for sport!)

Harry Potter I'll see in the theatre. Probably Shrek as well, since Liam will want to go (and they ARE funny). I'll watch Spiderman on DVD at the very least (I do like those!) I was so disappointed with Pirates 2 that I won't rush to see 3, though I'm sure I'll see it at some point. The others, I won't make an effort to see.

of those, i'll definitely see Spiderman 3 (the trailer looks awesome!) and the Harry Potter. Bourne Ultimatum might be good.

Fantastic Four sucked!
Pirates 2 was mostly lame.
Ocean's is repetitive crap.

I talked to an old friend briefly last night. He worked on Fantastic Four 2. I assured me that it's way better than the first, with far more action. Not sure I believe him, but that's his claim.

That was pretty good for a Canadian movie.

Ah, but do you know who is playing the casino boss this time??

AL PACINO.

You can NOT get better than him, for that role.
