Does anyone here tune their own piano? I'm sure we have a couple, especially those in the industry. I would like to learn the basics of tuning. All I know now is how to tighten/loosen the strings, and also how to judge the pitch of a note via it's audio frequency/waves. That's it. And I'm probably even wrong with that! Anyway...two things: 1) Is this a bad idea? Even if I'm just tuning my mediocre personal piano? 2) What are some essential beginner tools I should use? 3) Where's the best place to buy them? |

No, but I'm sure my neighbors would like me to practice 4'33''.
