![]() Look at the way it fits into this neighborhood. ![]() How do you feel inside? ![]() Or this? ![]() Ahhhh…. ![]() Not sure what this is. ![]() Gives you some idea of the scale… ![]() And this too… I have a sort of unexpected reaction – and yes I’d love to go see it when I’m in Rome – it’s one of unusual comfort as if those shells are protecting those inside and are also symbolic of the Trinity – three in one natures of God as taught by Christian theology. Yes it seems modern, but it also seems comforting and I guess I would hope that this is what Christ offers people in the end – the shelter of His love. ![]() And I always liked this building too. I can easily imagine Haydn’s music in the Richard Meier building – a sane and friendly music in a sane and friendly place. I can equally imagine Olivier Messiaen’s music in the Corbusier building. ![]() Isn’t it wonderful? |
