In between the Greenberg lectures (up next - Schoenberg and "Pierrot Lunaire" :hair: )

I'm doing this:

This is easy, fun and a good tale. About a third of the way done. If you're looking for some good (hard) sci-fi, like "The Martian" was, this will fill the bill.

It's alright. In terms of worldbuilding, I give King 10 out of 10. But for plot and continuity, I think he's down at like 4 or 5 here. It's too random, most of the stuff is never explained. I understand that that's how it was writtenóhe didn't plot any of these outóbut just the same, man, c'mon! How about a little consistency?!
I cite irreconcilable differences.

truth be told, i was not really planning on reading until i read he tried to use legal means to stop publication....

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

he doesn't like it, he can sue for libel.

Iím with you, Bach.

You wait for minutes in the traffic jam, angry at the people slowing down to look at the wreck in the lanes going the other direction. But when you finally get to the front, you take a look too.

Itís embarrassing, but hey, itís human nature.

Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Frankly, with all the Edwards, Henrys, etc, it got a bit confusing. Nevertheless a great overview of the history of England for the 1000 years before Henry Tudor assumes the throne. If you've got the time, get it. Time well spent.

Next up (still reading "Mozart in the Jungle" on my iPad)...

I'm not going to give it away, I'll just say it will help if you are multi-lingual.

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

What fun!

About ĺ of the way through.

No, it's not great literature, but it's just a pile of fun, continuing the story of "The Expanse."

One of the strongest books in the series so far.

ETA: This is hard, hard, science fiction. Good stuff!

Quite a page turner.
Actually just read this one. Took me a long time (but to my excuse, it is a long book).

Very very good and I liked it quite a bit.
