At this point only the Iraqis can win. We are only providing securityuntil their forces can recruit, train and equip to the level sufficient to take on that task. Gradually, this has been progressing quite well even if there has been some infiltration by sectarian interests. What this article highlights is how the enmy can win, not by military victory, but by waging war using our media to convince us that the strategic goals in Iraq are hopeless. The media has been only too happy to cooperate so far. |

It would seem our opponents have a greater understanding of Sun Tzu than some of our own commanders. It makes perfect sense. While freedom of the press is considered by many to be one of our greatest strengths, it can easily be manipulated and attacked as a weakness. |
