I am so adjective that I verb nouns!

I've wondered both what that sig is meant to convey (e.g., is it an animal rights sort of thing?), as well as the truth value. I think seagulls follow trawlers simply because they smell the sardines and instinctively follow the scent, not because they think or hope sardines will be thrown overboard. But then again, I don't give a lot of credence to the notion of animals rationally thinking. Just curious.... |

Is that still my sig?? It's a leftover of my Eric Cantona was a great footballer, and part a long line of Manchester United players with anger management issues. One of his more famous antics was kicking a fan at a game against Crystal Palace. ![]() A couple day after this incident, a press conference was called, where he was to explain himself, and answer questions. He walked in, sat down, and said "When the seagulls follow the trawler….", then got up and walked out. The silence that followed was probably the longest you'll ever hear in a press conference full of English reporters. |

Random FML: Today, I was fired by my boss in front of my coworkers. It would have been nice if I could have left the building before they started celebrating. FML The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D | |
