I've often wondered. Where would jolly old Ghengis have fitted, in the USA of today? Would he have worked in the fur trade, or possible as a breeder of fine horses. Alternatively, he could have been a serial killer. What say you, fine people? |

I'm going with satay chef. The old guy got around, probably picked up some interesting spices (and other stuff, but never mind about that). Given the opportunity to explore his gentler side, he most certainly would have found great pleasure in developing his culinary skills. And I bet he would have been darn good chopping up the meat into little bits.

Even though I voted for the last poll choice (which seems bloody obvious), Genghis Khan was an extraordinarily brilliant military and civil leader, whose armies achieved an effectiveness unmatched until the 20th century. If he were here today, he'd be the emperor and commander-in-chief of the United States of North and South America. |

It was a confusion of ideas between him and one of the lions he was hunting in Kenya that had caused A. B. Spottsworth to make the obituary column. He thought the lion was dead, and the lion thought it wasn't. - P.G. Wodehouse | |

ZOOOOOM!

I'm going to say republican representative from Kansas. He was quite religious (devout Buddhist), so he'd be right at home in the bible belt. He was a self-made man, and overcame his childhood hardships in order to unite the Mongol empire; much like Lincoln in that respect. I'm sure he would completely support our competitive and winner-take-all capitalistic society. He also believed in having a strong military. |

I'm getting up a good head of steam in anticipation of the main event. I love Friday afternoon. [If Mrs. D'Oh is in attendance, I haven't touched a drop all day, and I thoroughly resent the implication! Avaunt, thou foul inhabitor of dank places!] |

Sure about that? According to my history Ghengis was, like all Mongol tribesmen of his day, a Shamanist. |

His spear's a lot bigger than my pencils, I've noticed. Still, never mind, I doubt he'd have been able to work this computer too well. Apart from anything else, I haven't installed Mongolian fonts. |

I'll bet he doesn't have any lead in his spear. Doesn't matter anyway unless he has someone to write to. |
