My new piano piece

Hello. I composed and performed my new piano piece, it's like a more modern nocturne. I mixed the older idea of a nocturne, with some more personal harmony and ideas, so the main idea behind this piece is a juxtaposition of two worlds. I am very happy with it - as It is more of an experiment for me in sound rather than a definitive work.

The piano is a Steinway B, the recording is a little bit lower than normal so you may have to turn up the sound. It was a live recording at a concert.

I liked it! How long did it take you to compose that piece, and how long to learn to play it?

Based on this I think Crash is more interested in the "I want to score" club.

Why else would I compose! Even Herr Beethoven had the same objective in mind.

Beethoven once punched a waitress who was flirting with him.

I guess one could say that since she was hitting on him, he hit her back.

:smokin:

Beethoven was only attracted to unobtainable women... he really just wanted to be alone, and maybe wanted the muse of unrequited "love".

(Though I'm sure he got laid as much as he wanted, more or less.)

Congrats! Good writing for the piano. You've improved as a composer from what I heard 2 years ago.

Minor critique: it's two minutes too long.
Random FML: Today, I was fired by my boss in front of my coworkers. It would have been nice if I could have left the building before they started celebrating. FML

The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D

Yeah, it was live so I starting to improvise a bit and made it longer. The "Official" version will be a bit more streamlined. :D

I love playing in front of people, so I can't help but add a bit here and there.
