Thanks

Shorter now.

When only the best will do.
I must sell my nearly new 7 ft. semi concert grand piano. Handcrafted in America in limited numbers, Mason Hamlin pianos are highly prized by expert musicians as one of the world's preeminent musical instruments. Purchased new in 2001, this piano has been meticulously maintained by a top technician, and is like new.

I have just purchased a larger piano, and must make room. Comparable to pianos selling in the 60K to 70K range, I am willing to sell this piano for far less.

Larry Fine, author of The Piano Book, rates Mason and Hamlin higher in quality than the similarly-priced Steinway.

I am the original owner and have played this piano regularly, but only an average of one hour a day.
It has never been in the sun, or near a heater or air conditioner, which can damage a piano.
Seven years remain on the 12-year transferable factory warranty.

2001 is the middle of Mason and Hamlin's second "Golden Era" under the stewardship of the quality-conscious Burgett brothers.

Because of all the recent problems with cashier's checks piano will ship only after confirmation of wire transfer.
Buyer responsible for shipping arrangements and cost.

Contact me to arrange an evaluation of this magnificent instrument. A unique opportunity awaits the truly informed pianist.

You don't need to advertize Larry Fine, too much talk about how well you've maintained it makes it sound like a "and she only drove it on Sundays" sales pitch, You don't need to educate your reader about the history of the company, and you don't need to clutter their minds with problems of scam artists trying to rip you off. These things are all distractions from what you want to accomplish - which is to entice someone into wanting your piano.

Just trying to help....

Do you think some of that other crap would be good to put in the initial email reply?

Funny thing when I was selling my hybrid I wrote a HUGE ad.
It finally sold to a woman who just drove by and saw the for sale sign in its window.

I forget most people are not like me.
They don't want all that detail and edumacation.
