Apparently, 14 blatant factual errors have been discovered by Media Matters in Ann Coulter's book. The worst was this one: she said that kindergarteners were being taught sex education, including how to use dental dams, fisting, etc. She even cited a source ... the New York Times. Here's the relevant quote from the Coulter book:
The Times story she cited was 20 years old or so. Apparently, the body of the story indicates that it's about COLLEGE students (specifically, Dartmouth College), not kindergarteners. http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/Coulter_...utiny_0808.html I'm sure that some of you will try to claim that Media Matters is a left wing organization. So what? Instead of trying to attack the source, how about explaining how Annie turned college students into kindergarteners to make her point? |

Now Quirt. You know the right won't actually criticize her. Cluck-cluck with their tongues maybe. But critiicize her? You can't be serious! At the most they will say these may have been errors, but it was up to her editor to catch these. Hell, she is just the author! More likely, they will spin this to show that the real problem is the left wing media -- not truth tellers like St. Ann of Coulter. |

I'm assuming you were facetious. Since the 20 year-old article quotes someone who was a Dartmouth professor back then. Unless the population at Dartmouth was largely 25 years old 20 years ago (it wasn't), and unless they've all aged backwards since then, Ann still looks like an idiot. |

I have it on the highest authority that she's one of the most intelligent women in the world. It's good to see that even someone as transcendental as Ms. Coulter, an example of humanity's next evolutionary step some might say (obviously Ann herself wouldn't say this as she doesn't believe in evolution), can still make herself look like a partisan idiot who doesn't know it from shinola. |

Enjoy her latest column... Big Foot, Scoop Jackson Democrats and Other Myths by Ann Coulter Posted Aug 09, 2006 I suppose we'll have to wait yet another election cycle for all those "Scoop Jackson Democrats" to come roaring back in and give us a Democratic Party that does not consistently root against America. On the bright side, it is now official: Democrats are not merely confused patriots, so blinded by their hatred for President Bush that they cannot see their way to supporting any aspect of the war on terrorism. Would that they were mere opportunistic traitors! As some of us have been trying to tell you, Democrats don't oppose the war on terrorism because they hate Bush: They hate Bush because he is fighting the war on terrorism. They would hate him for fighting terrorists even if he had a "D" after his name. They would hate Bernie Sanders if he were fighting a war on terrorism. In the past three decades, there have been more legitimate sightings of Big Foot than of "Scoop Jackson Democrats." That's why Hillary Clinton has anti-war protestors howling at her public events. That's why she has drawn an anti-war primary opponent, Jonathan Tasini, who appears to believe that Israel is a terrorist state. If those rumors I've been hearing about a Hezbollah/Hamas/DNC merger are true, we might be in for a slightly longer fight. In Tuesday's primary, Connecticut Democrats dumped Joe Lieberman, an 18-year incumbent, because he supports the war on terrorism. This is the same Joe Lieberman who voted against all the Bush tax cuts, against banning same-sex marriage, against banning partial-birth abortion, against the confirmation of Judge Alito, against drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and in favor of the Kyoto accords. Oh yes, this was also the same Joe Lieberman who was the Democrats' own vice presidential candidate six years ago. Despite all this, Connecticut Democrats preferred stalwart anti-war candidate Ned Lamont, great-nephew of Corliss Lamont, WASP plutocrat fund-raiser for Stalin. Lamont's main political asset is that he is a walking, breathing argument in favor of a massive inheritance tax. His plan for fighting the terrorists is to enact a single-payer government health plan and universal pre-K education programs. His goal is to unite the "cut" and "run" wings of his party into one glorious coalition. The Democrats can hold it in for a few years, but eventually the McGovernite face of the Democratic Party reappears. Lamont declared victory surrounded by Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Kim Gandy of the fanatically pro-abortion group known euphemistically as the "National Organization for Women." Congresswoman Maxine Waters had parachuted into Connecticut earlier in the week to campaign against Lieberman because he once expressed reservations about affirmative action, without which she would not have a job that didn't involve wearing a paper hat. Waters also considers Joe "soft" on the issue of the CIA inventing crack cocaine and AIDS to kill all the black people in America. Gandy's support for Lamont must have been a particularly bitter pill for Lieberman to swallow, inasmuch as he has long belonged to the world's smallest organization solely to satisfy bloodthirsty feminists like Gandy -- Orthodox Jews for Partial-Birth Abortion. (OJFPBA has just slightly more members than GBRFC, "Gay Black Republicans for Choice.") To give you a snapshot of today's Democratic Party, in 2004, pollster Scott Rasmussen asked likely voters if they believed America was generally a fair and decent country and whether they believed the world would be a better place if more countries were like America. Republicans agreed that America is generally fair and decent, 83 percent to 7 percent. Eighty-one percent agreed that the world would be a better place if more countries were like the United States. By contrast, Democrats were nearly split, with only 46 percent agreeing that America is generally a fair and decent country, and with 37 percent saying America is not a generally fair and decent country. Only 48 percent of Democrats said they thought that the world would be a better place if more countries were like the United States. Democrats constantly complain that the nation has never been so divided, but consider that half of them think the statement that America is a good country is a divisive remark. So remember: When you vote Democratic, you're saying NO to mindless patriotism. This country isn't so great! The free world, which is rapidly boiling down to us and Israel, is under savage attack. Treason is rampant in the country. True, Democrats hate Bush, but they would hate anybody who fights the war on terrorism. It is a hostile world, and there is now a real question about the will of the American people to survive. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

I find him slightly less noxious than Ann, but that's because he's on my side of the aisle, I guess. He was all atwitter yesterday about Lieberman's defeat, and how he was going to work against Kerry, and HRC, and all the other Dems who supported the war, and all I could think to myself was, what an idiot. |

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!! Admit it lefties, that was true, and that was funny!
Those of you who identify yourself with the democrat party, and who consider yourself a liberal, need to read that over and over and over again - she just nailed one of the main problems your side suffers from at the hands of the fanatic left. We've seen this very consistently right here on the forum by those on the far left. So, someone thinks they've found *14* "blatant factual errors" by Coulter. Whoopie. The woman has written 5 best sellers, writes a daily column, gives speeches all over the country on a regular basis. And all you can find is 14 errors? First, we don't even know they are in fact errors. We only know that someone on the left thinks they are errors. Rick of course jumps in to forewarn everyone of how her supporters will "spin this to show that the real problem is the left wing media -- not truth tellers like St. Ann of Coulter". That was actually Rick spinning himself. But - if you want to examine someone's "factual errors", let's examine a few of the left's leaders. Let's start with that traitor Murtha. Let's list all the factual errors made by *this* idiot. Then, let's look at Maxine Waters, a woman Coulter accurately pegged as barely qualified to work in a Jack In The Box drive thru window. How about Michael Moore - a man who built his entire career on factual errors. No, I take that back - he built his entire career on lies presented as facts. Once you finish that one (which will require you to write down every single word to come out of Moore's mouth) you can then move on to Nancy Pellosi, Dick Durbin, and all the rest of the brain fart Loony Left you liberals get your talking points from. The article Jolly posted by Coulter pegs the current pathetic state of the democrat party and liberals in general squarely between the eyes. Say what you want about her writing style, but it would do you good to put aside your tin foil hat for a moment and pay attention to what she just told you in that article, because she is describing to you just why your party is on the verge of imploding.
The fanatical Left is in the final stages of taking over the democrat party. Ann Coulter may make you mad, but she's sounding the warning bell. Pay attention, or don't. I hope you don't. The democrat party has become a disease, modern US liberalism has almost reached the point of moral and mental insanity, and it is time for the loony left to take full control of the democrat party and let America see them for the dangerous group of idiots they are. Only when that happens can patriotic liberals with still functioning brains see how important it is for them to create a *new* political party, and come back to America. Of course, several of you lefties won't understand a single thing I just said. |

Why is it that many people who idolize the American Dream and the ability to actually make a ton of money through hard work (and some luck) turn right around and castigate those that do? This happens on both sides of the aisle, by the way. It's perverse. |

I really can't improve on the tone of Larry's post. My only question is what do we do about the 37% of those Democrats polled by Scott Rasmussen who believe America is not generally a fair and decent country. --- edited --- That's a lot of people. How did they get that way? |

Of course you see it that way, Rick. You're in the terminal stages of liberal brain rot. There's no reason to criticize someone for being correct. You are simply unable to tell the difference between right and wrong. Hell, you can't even figure out who are the terrorists and who isn't. |

First of all, I'll admit that Ann Coulter seems to be one of the worst at getting all of her facts correct. (I remember one show where she was insisting that Canada had (or hadn't) fought in either the Korean War or the Vietnam war - whichever it was, she was flat out wrong. However, the snippet that was posted may or may not be trying to say that kindergartners were being taught about sex practices. Frankly, there is not enough context there to tell. |

I watched her in a question and answer discussion with a group of Yale students on Book TV (or whatever the name of the channel is). She is an extremely intelligent woman, and she has the left pegged. Naturally those on the left will find her shrill - she's taking it straight to them, and the truth makes them uncomfortable. It's like lifting a rock off a bunch of cockroaches. |
