A while ago, I posted about the wonderful music lectures available from the Teaching Company. There are tons of other subjects available as well.

There's another wonderful source: The BBC.

For years, they have been broadcasting a series called "Discovering Music" on Radio 3. Older broadcasts are available on the web, and you can listen using RealPlayer, or, if you have the right software, capture the stream to your computer.

Take a look. It's revelatory (I particularly liked the ones on the Goldbergs, Inventions, and the Schubert Sonata D960 (that I used to play when I was young and good!).

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

I'll second this recommendation. Radio 3 is a magnificent station, and these are good programmes.
