HOLY CARP!!!
Ok...here's an idea of where I am right now. I'll try to remember to take my own photos.

Where is it???

Posted Image

Close-up. It's in an oxbow of the River Severn

Posted Image

Train station. Still looks like this.

Wyle Cop. The main road through the town. It's on a fairly steep hill.

The Dingle (garden) in The Quarry park. (New) St. Chad's in the background.

Posted Image

The best part - my local (which is actually a mile from my dad's house). The walk is worth it. The shadow is of St. Alkmund's, which is RIGHT across the "street" from the pub.

Posted Image

St. Julian's, which is right next to St. Alkmund's.
Posted Image

This is (from L - R) Nigel, Dave, Vicky, and...don't remember his name. Vicky and Dave are the owners, and the others are members of CAMRA - Campaign for Real Ale. Very nice people.

More will be posted soon-ish.
And how are you today?

I must have a prodigious quantity of mind; it takes me as much as a week, sometimes, to make it up.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

Lie back and think of England.

MS and I are planning a trip at Christmas -- I loved living there, and everytime I return!

You haven't lived if you haven't been to Spag's...it's legendary, like Wall Drug. But alas, it's a different Shrewsbury.
