I used to hang out there all the time when I lived in Madison. I wonder if they'll have the new CW 175? |

They never carried the 190, I'm glad to hear they're getting the 175 in. There was a time I was waiting and waiting for that to come out in the hopes of buying one, but the release dates came and went and I finally despaired of ever seeing one. |

Thanks for the bump, Horace. Didn't make it to Farleys today. Mrs. George had to go back to Chicago for college orientation with Georgette #3, so I stayed at our place. Ran some errands, played a lot of (crappy digital) piano today. Did some sheet music shopping (bought the Alfred Edition of the Haydn Sonatas (vol 2), Beethoven Bagatelles op. 119), and had a scrumptious dinner from Culvers. As I said, Mrs. George left for Chicago tonite, so I'm alone with the dogs. Tomorrow is my morning at Farleys. I called today and they still have the Walters 175 on the floor. I was hoping to see the Bohemia 190, but they only have a small one. Perhaps there's a Vogel that I can pound on for a while. What's your impression of Farleys? |

I wnet to Pickle Piano today, George.. but the A/C was out. I tried t o play but was concerned withd ripping sweat on teh merchandise. Did like the AF190 though, and a 1909 Grotrian Steinweg they rebuilt. |

Did you look at the Weinbachs at Pickle? Supposedly there's still some European ones left. And yes, the AF 190 is awesome - but pricey. |

It's the best piano shop in madison for sure... in that they at least prep their pianos. They hold concerts a lot and the owners do genuinely love pianos and music in general, so I felt good about buying there. Mr Farley did a lot of the design work on the old 5'4" Estonia according to him. |

No.. they had a Chinese one, but no Euros. I did not get around to playing it, but will next week. The Nordiska was nice for the money. The heat was very distracting. |
