5.30 this morning I put the dog out for his morning ablutions, he goes running round excitedly in circles, and disappears off into the woods. A little unusual, but it's normally caused by a squirrel. I hear cat-like mewping from the bush by the back door, followed by the emergence of the cat, 5 days after she disappeared. She's looking pretty thin, and seems to have very sore feet, but she's very happy to be back. She looks as though she's walked a fair old distance, possible after falling asleep in a truck. I've never seen a cat drink a pint of water before. Today is a very good day. I know, I'm totally soft, but what the heck. Now I'm posting like Kenny. |

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Musicasacra - the chances of our cat doing that spooky little boogaloo are pretty remote at the moment. This morning she ate a bigger breakfast than I did, and promptly fell asleep on the kitchen table. The cat is thin but pretty happy. |
