i love Benton. His home was in Kansas City - quite close. We are fortunate to have many of his murals that were commissioned by cities, and states locally. Our art museum has a great collection of his works as well.. if you happen to google Nelson Atkins benton collection.. you can see some.

we, the apples, were fortunate also to have purchased artworks by a friend and contemporary of his.

persephone is in the Nelson Atkins museum - the kids love it because she's so naked. in fact it is my boys' favorite painting.

some links here

i hope you realize how collectible he is - if you ever spot an original work that is affordable grab it.. he was very prolific.
